It applies when you use Cetera's iPhone and Android apps, supporting services, public website, account-management website, and legal or support forms.

Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Cetera, we may collect:
- Account and profile information, including account identifiers, email address, date of birth, profile information, preferences, and subscription information.
- Content and communications, including content, media, messages, interactions, reports, and information you submit when contacting us.
- Usage and technical information, including information about how you use Cetera and information about your device, app, network, general location, and service performance.
- Derived information, including information we derive from the categories above to operate, personalize, improve, and protect Cetera.

We collect information from you; from your use of Cetera and your device or network; from other users; from platforms and service providers that support Cetera; and by deriving information from those sources.
How We Use Information and Our Legal Bases
We use personal information for the purposes described below. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, the basis depends on why we use the information.
Provide Cetera
We create and authenticate accounts; operate profiles and friendships; provide posts, comments, reactions, messages, feeds, notifications, subscriptions, account settings, support, and account deletion; and provide features you request. The legal basis is performance of our contract with you.
Personalize adult users' feeds
We use eligible adult users' interactions and content preferences to make their feeds more relevant. Cetera does not personalize feeds for minors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing eligible adult users with a useful and relevant experience.
Improve and maintain Cetera
We understand how the service and its features are used, evaluate performance, diagnose crashes and errors, improve reliability, and, where enabled, develop and evaluate content-ranking systems for eligible adults. The legal basis is our legitimate interests in improving Cetera and maintaining a reliable service. We use consent where applicable law requires it for particular device technologies or attribution activities.
Protect users and the service
We prevent, detect, investigate, and respond to scams, fraud, threats, harassment, suspected stalking, repeated unwanted contact, ban evasion, account misuse, and other abuse; review reports; moderate content; enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines; and protect accounts and the service. The legal bases are our legitimate interests in protecting Cetera and its users and maintaining a safe service; performance of our contract where necessary to enforce the basic service rules; and compliance with legal obligations where a specific law requires action.
Apply age- and location-appropriate rules
We determine an age range and general jurisdiction, apply appropriate eligibility and safety rules, protect minors, and comply with requirements that apply in particular locations. The legal bases are performance of our contract where age or location is necessary to provide the appropriate service; compliance with applicable legal obligations; and our legitimate interests in protecting minors and applying accurate eligibility and safety rules.
Provide optional features and communications
We use information you choose to provide, including device permissions such as location or microphone access, to provide an optional feature or communication you request. We rely on your consent where required. You can withdraw device permissions through your device settings.
Handle requests and legal matters
We respond to privacy, legal, support, complaint, appeal, and security requests; document actions taken; comply with applicable legal requirements; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. The legal bases are compliance with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in operating reliable request and complaint processes and handling disputes.
How We Handle Private Content
When we call a post or chat private, we mean that Cetera limits who can see it through the service. Private content is not end-to-end encrypted or inaccessible to Cetera.
We store and process private content to deliver the service. We access or review it only when needed to operate and maintain Cetera, provide safety features, investigate reports or suspected abuse, enforce our rules, protect users and the service, respond to support requests, or comply with applicable law.
We do not use private content for advertising. We do not sell personal information, including information derived from private content, as explained below.
We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information
Cetera does not sell your personal information to anyone, including AI companies. We do not provide your personal information to third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We disclose personal information to service providers that help us operate, secure, analyze, support, and provide Cetera, as described below. These operational disclosures are not sales of personal information.
We Do Not Train Generative AI on Your Information
Cetera does not use your content or personal information to train generative artificial intelligence models, including large language models and image-, audio-, or video-generation models. We also do not authorize service providers acting on our behalf to use your content or personal information for that purpose.
How We Disclose Information
Depending on how you use Cetera, we may make personal information available to:
- Other users and the public when you publish content, interact with others, participate in conversations, or otherwise use a feature that makes information available to a selected audience.
- Service providers and platforms that help us host, operate, secure, analyze, support, and provide Cetera and its features.
- Authorities and other appropriate parties when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, protect the rights or safety of Cetera or others, investigate abuse, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- Other parties at your direction when you ask us to make information available or use a feature involving another service.
Specific service disclosures
When analytics is enabled for an eligible profile, Cetera uses Google Analytics to understand app usage and performance. Google may process usage, device, and general-location information as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
When analytics and attribution are enabled for an eligible profile, Cetera uses AppsFlyer to understand app attribution and campaign performance. AppsFlyer may process app, device, attribution, and usage information as described in AppsFlyer's Services Privacy Policy.
When you use subscription features, Cetera uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status and entitlements. RevenueCat may process an account identifier and purchase or subscription information as described in RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you find a security vulnerability or critical bug, please review our Security Reporting Policy and contact us through our security report form.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. The retention period depends on:
- how long your account remains active and whether the information is needed to provide a feature you use;
- the nature of the information and the operational, security, and safety purposes for which it is used;
- whether the information is reasonably needed to investigate abuse, enforce restrictions, handle a complaint or dispute, or protect Cetera and its users; and
- whether applicable law requires us to keep or delete the information.
You can delete your account through Cetera's account settings. Account deletion cannot be undone and begins the process of removing or de-identifying information associated with your account.
Some information may remain where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, maintain appropriate restrictions, comply with applicable law, or resolve complaints or disputes. Content you shared with other people, including messages, may remain in conversations or related records. Residual copies may also remain temporarily in logs, backups, and service-provider systems until the applicable deletion processes are completed.
You may submit a separate privacy or deletion request through our privacy and legal contact form. Deletion rights may be subject to exceptions under applicable law.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to:
- request access to personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request deletion of your information;
- request restriction of certain processing;
- object to certain processing;
- receive certain information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where we rely on consent; and
- complain to an applicable data-protection or privacy authority.
These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions. You can exercise an available right through our privacy and legal contact form. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to understand your request and verify that it relates to you.
Right to object: Where applicable law gives you the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, you may submit an objection through our contact form. We will evaluate the objection and stop the processing where required by law.
We respond within the time required by applicable law. For requests governed by the GDPR, this is generally within one month. Where the law permits additional time because a request is complex or numerous requests are being handled, we will notify you within the initial response period.
If GDPR or similar privacy law applies to you, you may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority where you live or work, or where you believe a violation occurred.
Children and Age Requirements
Cetera is not available to children under 13. We use age information to apply account eligibility and age-appropriate safety rules. Some locations may have higher minimum-age requirements or additional restrictions.
If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we will take steps to remove access and delete the child's personal information, subject to the limited retention described in this Privacy Policy and permitted by applicable law.
A parent or legal guardian who believes that a child under 13 has provided personal information to Cetera may contact us through our privacy and legal contact form.
International Transfers
Delightful Development LLC is based in the United States. We and the service providers that support Cetera may process personal information in the United States and other countries where those providers operate. Data-protection laws vary between countries.
When applicable law requires protection for an international transfer, we rely on legally recognized transfer mechanisms. Depending on the transfer, these may include an adequacy decision or contractual safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the applicable United Kingdom transfer terms.
